Events (scenes & aspects)
12:00 pm - Devil's Rest Hotel
Mr Sparkles is in the Restaurant/Bar area of the hotel, it's full of people as the Little Hawaii is closed. As he is eating his meal of lobster thermidor he is joined by Walter and a rather bedraggled Crystal, who is turning more heads than normal with her burnt attire. They discuss at length the events of the past day and attempt to come up with a workable plan.
While they are discussing this Curtis joins them and is bought up to speed on what's happening. Crystal, who is feeling rather charred decides to freshen up so pops to the ladies washroom. While there she bumps into Candy Sugar who gives Crystal a pill to help her brighten up. Crystal mistakes Candy for Claire Bennet and exits from the washroom as if she had seen a ghost, Candy hot on her tail.
Back at the table Candy chats with Curtis, telling him that he should take her out to the party at Sundown tonight. He blows her out at first, Candy declares him as being dumped, but then changes his mind and then attempts to placate her and puff up her ego. Candy accepts his advances on the condition that they enter into an official relationship, Curtis doesn't decide on the spot so Candy tells him to call her at home as she'll be getting ready for the party tonight.
1:30pm - The Little Hawaii
The group go mob handed to see if Anton Rockford would be willing to sell the Little Hawaii and when they arrive they see that that its not only them who've had the same idea. A man wearing a black suit is talking to Anton and it looks as if Anton is about to make a big decision.
Curtis approaches and discovers the situation that the man in black is Mr North who is happy to purchase the Little Hawaii from Anton to turn it into a meeting place for his religious organisation. The shock of the prospect of the Little Hawaii turning into a 'church' sends Curtis into a momentary trance, Walter however interjects that he would be willing to purchase the Little Hawaii or to make a cash donation to keep it running.
Anton explains that he put a lot into making the Little Hawaii what is was and to see it burnt out like it is just fills him with despair. He just can't go on with it. Mr North then prompts Anton to except his offer of a Superb (+5) amount of money for the property. Anton can see that Curtis and the others don't want the Little Hawaii become a 'church' and so says that he will accept the largest offer of money at Midday on Monday.
Mr North is happy with this and after saying his goodbyes strolls over to his car. His chauffeur is rather scruffy and looks quite out of place waiting outside the limo with mirrored windows. The chauffeur opens the door to let Mr North in and Walter sees that the occupants are wearing dark glasses.
